I was raised in Scarborough and lived in the Beaches while attending law school and starting my legal career. I completed my law degree at Osgoode Hall Law School in 1997 and was called to the Bar of the Province of Ontario in 1999. I articled and initially practised in the areas of pensions, tax and trust law with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt, a top Bay Street law firm. After my family moved to Durham Region in the summer of 2000, I began practising family and wills and estates law here, and later expanded my practice to include real estate law.
I am trained in collaborative family law and as a family mediator, arbitrator and parenting coordinator. I also hold a certificate in elder law and have undertaken extensive education in estate planning and estate administration.
I have gained a reputation for professionalism, competence, fairness and efficiency. Despite all the “lawyer jokes” out there, I consider it a privilege to practise in a profession that allows me to help people at some of the most challenging times in their lives.
Whether you are buying or selling a home, planning for your loved ones in the event of your death, starting a relationship or ending one, I believe that having a lawyer you can trust, who makes you a priority, can be an invaluable help as you move through these significant events in your life.
